Paula is a native Houstonian that grew up in the Katy area and couldn’t imagine calling any other city her home. She met Shawn in 2000 via the web (back when it wasn’t exactly something you announced to everyone) and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

While earning a B.S. in Accounting at Excelsior College, Paula was consistently named to the honor roll, inducted into the prestigious Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society based on academic merit and eventually graduated cum laude (can you say “over achiever?”).

She started her career as an accountant with a local Houston advertising firm, and quickly expanded her skill set to include different aspects of marketing, advertising and computer technology, which benefit their clients today.

After becoming the Controller for several branches of a medium sized international aviation firm in Houston, Paula chose to turn her attention to being a successful entrepreneur and started her first online company in early 2002. It quickly became a success and she eventually sold it to gain funding for real estate invest- ment projects. Investing in over 25 different properties, Paula continues to invest in real estate today which gives her a unique perspective of the Houston Real Estate market that further benefits their clients.

A self-taught computer guru, she is skilled in several computer-related areas including online and email/print marketing, SEO, social media, mobile technology and graphic/web design. Paula uses her keen eye and market- ing savvy to create visually stunning marketing materials and campaigns both online and in print for both the company and clients, which truly sets SMT apart from other Agents. Paula’s unique skill set, knowledge and expertise are invaluable in helping guide SMT clients’ successfully through transactions and meeting their personal real estate goals where Shawn & Paula consistently strive to exceed their client’s expectations.

In her free time Paula enjoys local and international travel, discovering new cultures, exploring nature, learning more about digital photography, keeping up with the latest mobile applications and tools, sipping a heaping glass of iced tea, good conversations with family and friends, relaxing on the back patio, warm meals and the sunshine on her face on a cool day.

Paula & Shawn have three furry doggies that think they are kids and she enjoys spoiling them immensely (even though they don’t really know how good they have it).
